Laurel Friedman was initially interested in yoga for its physical benefits. As so often happens, Laurel discovered that yoga can be a powerful instrument for change. Drawn in by yoga’s transformative capacity and nonviolent ethos, she turned to yoga as a restorative space to find moments of peace through a personal loss and ultimately found a playful space for self and social inquiry.

She obtained her RYT 200 certification and Aerial Yoga Teacher certification in 2019 with Yoga Loft of Tampa, a Registered Yoga Alliance School. She is also certified in adult and pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED with the American Red Cross.

As a teacher, she explores the strength that builds from movement, and she works to engage the power that resonates within quieter moments of breathwork and stillness. Her group classes and private instruction combine playful sequencing with an emphasis on respect for and acceptance of ourselves and others.

When she’s not teaching yoga, you’ll find her outside — at the dog park, on a stroll, or watching the waves roll in.
